Title: In a Handbasket
Pairing: Jason Morgan/Damien Spinelli
Rating: T (swearing and adult themes)
Prompt: shoulder rub
Summary: Spinelli's fingers are like magic.

Jason’s half out of it, back screaming in pain, when hands descend upon him, and at first, he stiffens, which only serves to cause him more pain, but the hands are warm and slick and they don’t feel too awful, so he lets himself relax.

Strong, sure fingers attack the knot in his back with a vigor that Jason can admire. It hurts, but in a good way.

“Stone Cold?” Spinelli’s voice is much too close to his ear, but the fingers are digging and pressing into the stubborn knot along the edge of his shoulder blade, that Jason finds he can forgive it.

“Spinelli?” his voice is a slur that is part contentment, part pain, because crashing his bike had really done a number on his back, wrenching it.

“Let me know if it hurts, okay?”

The question boggles him, but Jason lets it slide, because a lot of what Spinelli says confuses him, and that’s on a good day, when he isn’t in so much pain that he can’t really think straight. When the fingers still, Jason groans, because he misses them even though they’re a distinctly new addition to his life, and he thinks, no, knows that he wants them to move in so that they can continue to work their magic on him.

When the fingers don’t immediately renew their ministrations on Jason’s back, he feels his lips turning downward in what is most decidedly not a pout. Because, hit men don’t pout, no matter how much they miss the touch of magical fingers. And, they don’t beg either.

“Please, don’t stop,” Jason’s voice is a low growl, and he reaches back, blindly, fingers wrapping around the wrist with the enchanted fingers.

A disgruntled sigh greets his words, but Jason ignores it in favor of getting those fingers to cooperate with his needs. His back’s a mess and he can already feel it tensing up again, because the taut muscles have been left out in the cool air for far too long.

“But you’ll let me know if it starts to hurt?” And there’s Spinelli’s voice again, worried and unsure, when all that Jason needs are the fingers.

He tugs at the wrist, and sighs happily when the fingers start up again, digging painfully into the knot, wrestling it into submission. When one knot is under control, the fingers move onto another, and then another, deftly easing the tightness in his muscles until Jason is little more than a melting puddle of contentment.

The fingers continue to work, long after Jason’s back has been set to right, and the pain has ceased. They gently massage, leaving trails of heat in their wake.

And then they begin to work on his neck, banishing the headache that he’d been in the maddening grip of since long before his accident. Since he’d caught Sam with McBain, again.

“Magic,” he mutters on a sigh, and the fingers still, but then begin to press and rub away the tension, leaving Jason headache free for the first time in what feels like a lifetime.

From his neck, the fingers and hands move to his shoulders, and then down his back, and they finally stop at the top of his hips, and by then he’s completely loose.

“Move in?” Jason asks, twisting and capturing one of the hands, bringing it to his lips, because he can’t remember the last time that he’s been touched in such a way.

“Uh, Stone Cold?” Spinelli gazes down at him; his lips are quirked upward in a sort of half-grin.

“Spinelli?”

It finally hits him that the wonderful, pain-inducing and letting fingers belong to Spinelli, and he smiles.

“Move in?” he asks again, pulling on Spinelli’s wrist until he succeeds in unsettling the younger man, causing him to tumble onto the bed beside him.

Spinelli swallows, his eyes are stuck staring at Jason’s lips, because he’s landed half-way sprawled across Jason’s chest. Jason knows that he’s screwed, because, not only does Spinelli have magical fingers that should never ever leave him, but he’s also there, always has been, no matter what has happened or how much Jason has tried to push him away.

In the end, Jason doesn’t know who initiated the kiss that led to Spinelli moving back into the penthouse, permanently, and it doesn’t even matter, because now that he’s got the younger man, and his charmed fingers, all to himself, the rest of the world can just go to hell if it wants to.
